FEES

Please contact our centre to find out what fees apply per day.

We remind you that our long dare care centre is “government approved” and therefore is heavily funded by the Government in the following ways:

  • Child Care Benefit (CCB) – This is means tested and does not apply to all families. Once the Family Assistance Office provides you with the percentage that you are entitled to, we can advise you of any “out-of pocket” expenses.
  • The 50% Child Care Rebate – This is not means tested and is available to every family who meets the work/study test.

Any parent receiving a CCB Subsidy can opt to receive it in either of the following ways:

 1.      Pay a reduced fee to us, and have our centre collect the CCB amount from the Family Assistance Office; or

 2.      Pay the whole fee to us and receive a lump sum from the Family Assistance Office.

For more information relating to the Child Care Rebates, please contact the Family Assistance Office on 13 61 50.

Orientation & Starting Child Care

An orientation day is encouraged by us whereby you can visit our centre together with your child prior to their start date. You can spend one hour at the centre free of charge in order for you and your child to familiarise yourselves with the classroom, surroundings, staff and program. This enables your child to settle into the centre and make their first day of child care less overwhelming.

Once your child commences care at our centre, our staff will do everything possible to settle your child as we endeavour to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone.

We kindly request that you bring the following items with your child each day to the centre:

  • An appropriate hat to protect from the sun (either broad brimmed or legionnaires)
  • Drink bottle
  • Bed sheets
  • Comforters such as dummies, bottles, blankets etc
  • Formula (if applicable)
  • Nappies
  • Spare clothing
NB: Please ensure all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name!

Meals Provided

Our centre has a qualified cook who holds qualifications in Nutrition, Menu Planning and Safe Food Handling. She prepares and cooks all meals on premises. We provide breakfast, morning tea, hot lunch, dessert, afternoon tea and an evening snack. We also provide all cow’s milk, and water throughout the day.

There is a daily menu displayed on the wall of each room, and these menus are rotated over 4 weeks. We happily welcome any feedback and suggestions from families.

We also happily cater for any children with allergies or special dietary requirements.
